Superman Prequel 'Krypton' Picked Up to Pilot at Syfy
The drama will follow Superman's grandfather and hails from David S. Goyer.
It's official: Syfy is in the Superman business.
The drama comes as comic book fare continues to dominate primetime. For its part, DC Comics also has Fox's Batman prequel Gotham as well as The CW series The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow — all of which are returning for the 2016-17 broadcast season.
'Pitch Perfect 3' Release Date Pushed Up
On its new date, the movie will be opening opposite Christopher Nolan's WWII drama 'Dunkirk.'
Pitch Perfect 3 is getting a (slight) date change from Universal.
Originally slated to open Aug. 4, 2017, the Elizabeth Banks-directed a cappella film will now hit theaters earlier on July 21, 2017.

Marvel Studios and Disney's Captain America: Civil War launched to a mighty $181.8 million in North America over the weekend.
Overseas, where it bowed last weekend, Civil War took in another $220 million — including $96 million in China — for a foreign total of $496.6 million and worldwide haul of $678 million after just 12 days in release.
‘Wolverine 3’ Begins Filming, Confirmed to be Rated R
